Sintered brake pads for the Yamaha YZF-R6 (check year from the YZF-R6 or select a year: below in the motorcycle-list) type Ferodo FDB 2083 ST. Ferodo brake pads have proven themselves in racing, among other things, that they are of very high quality at a competitive price.

The brake pads are available in various types of materials for most motorcycles. In general, the sintered variant is taken. This is because of the excellent braking properties and wear resistance of the brake pads. Organic brake pads are a bit softer and are better suited to older bikes with smaller discs and less efficient calipers (compared to today's).

Note: Item concerns a set of brake pads for 1 brake caliper/brake disc. For example, keep this in mind if you have 2 brake discs at the front and ordered brake pads for the front (then order 2 x).

When replacing the brake pads, it is a good time to immediately replace the brake fluid (see bottom of page).

Blocks don't fit properly. Need to adjust in order to use. MPartz response: If such situations occur, it is advisable to report this immediately. It may be that a mistake has been made on our end or that something else is going on and we can see how to fix something like that. We are not in favor of adjusting brake pads (this is about safety anyway). It is unfortunately no longer possible to find out why this was not immediately appropriate.

Just installed these brake pads in my Yamaha R6 2000. Now saw only that these blocks have no wear marks at all. No idea why. Would this be better? Passing was good at least and it seems good to brake (not yet tested) ..
