TomTom Rider 550 is the latest navigation from TomTom specifically for the motorcycle and the successor of the 450. The TomTom 550 has an improved screen compared to the 450, making the screen react better to thicker gloves. TomTom has been focusing specifically on the motorcyclist for years with the Rider. After all, a motorcyclist navigates differently than a motorist. The motorcyclist often does not want the shortest route, but rather the most beautiful and winding road. This experience has resulted in a new follow-up, with which you can not only discover surroundings further away, but yourself in your own region, which you thought you already knew all the beautiful roads.

In order to make safer use, you can now also give voice commands so that you can keep your eyes on the road. These voice commands, as well as the spoken route guidance, can be done via a Bluetooth headset in your helmet. This is not included, since it is often specific to the user which brand or how many functions such a headset should have. For possible headset see bottom of this page.

Features TomTom Rider 550:

Winding roads: Find the most exciting winding roads and avoid boring, straight sections

Mountain roads: Stay at sea level or climb the highest mountains

Circular planning: Simply select the area you want to drive and the TomTom Rider 550 will find the best roundabout

Portrait View: Turn the TomTom Rider 550 to 'portrait view' to see more of the upcoming turns

Route planning: Plan your route on your computer before you leave

Share route: Share your route with other motorcyclists, in advance or at home

Lifetime TomTom Traffic: Use real-time traffic information throughout the life of the device

Voice instructions via Bluetooth®: Keep your eyes on the road and receive spoken instructions via Bluetooth® on the headset

Track support: Upload tracks (GPX format) and the TomTom Rider 550 shows you the way

Weatherproof design: Drive with any weather, the TomTom Rider 550 can have it

Glove-friendly screen: Use your TomTom Rider 550 with gloves on

Sun visibility: Use different color options during the day

Recordings: Record your trip and relive your adventure whenever you want

Statistics: See how far, how fast and how long you have driven

Fully interactive screen: Click, zoom and swipe to use the card

Specifications TomTom Rider 550:

It concerns the Dutch version

Maps of the World installed including LiveTime updates

LiveTime Traffic and Speedcams

Connection via WiFi

Pre-installed routes

Dimensions: 136.8 x 88.4 x 30.5 mm

Weight: 280 grams

Display type: Capacitive, glove-friendly screen.Readable in bright sunlight.

Display size: 4.3 inches (11 cm) diagonal

Display resolution: 480 x 272 pixels

Battery life: up to 6 hours

Bluetooth technology for spoken instructions and data exchange

Pre-programmed with road maps Europe

Internal memory: 16GB

Expandable memory: microSD

LIVE services: TomTom Traffic via compatible Smartphone, TomTom Flash

USB 2.0

Waterproof: IPX7 (protected against all weather types)

Delivery TomTom Rider 550 includes:

TomTom Rider 550

Fasteners including cabling for the motor (including RAM air ball system)

USB cable

Extra protective case for storing your TomTom (Cary Case from TomTom)
