The starter motor can be replaced without many problems on a BMW GS1150. It took me an hour and a half of tinkering, but the experienced tinkerers will undoubtedly do it much faster! The new starter motor fits well in the motorcycle, and it starts again as usual! Tip for inexperienced tinkerers; Make sure you use a longer Allen key number 6. With the standard length you cannot easily reach the rear Allen screw. Furthermore, good service from mPartz; They indicated that this product would be delivered in about 6 working days, but it didn't even take that long! The only complaint I have (and this has nothing to do with the quality of the starter motor, or the service of mPartz), is that PostNL left the package unattended at my front door while I was not at home. While a signature was required upon receipt! But I also reported this to PostNL.
